Stonegate: Auburn Collection Review

Stonegate’s newest neighborhood, Auburn, opened on August 20, 2016. The homes are quite large, ranging from 3,210 – 5,250 square feet. There are four primary residences, but the largest one (Chelsea X) is not expected to open until December. There will be 74 total homes with an average lots size of only 5,000 square feet. These homes are near the northeast corner of the village, bordered by Portola to the north and with just one neighborhood separating it from Sand Canyon to the east. Despite their size, these homes only have a two-car garage. The homes range from 4-6 bedrooms and 4.5 – 6.5 bathrooms. Most offer a bonus room and they all have a wide range of options to customize the layout.  The Chelsea X model includes a finished basement, complete with a great room, wine room, flex room, a media room, and options for an additional two bedrooms.

Eastwood Village – Calistoga Collection Review

The Calistoga Collection in Eastwood Village opened in July 2016. It is the village’s seventh neighborhood and has the biggest homes so far, with a range of 3,034 – 3,380 square feet in the three primary residences. There is also a fourth floor plan measuring 1,976, but this single story residence isn’t modeled or advertised, and will only have a few total homes available in the entire collection. There will be a total of 60 single family residences in the neighborhood with the models sitting on average-sized lots. These homes are in the northwest section of the village, near one of the parks and not too far from the elementary school slated to open in 2017. As of now, there aren’t any other neighborhoods on the north side of the parks and school. All models have a two-car garage. Homes have 3-4 bedrooms, 2.5 – 4.5 bathrooms, and a bonus room in the three two-story models.

Open House Review: 98 Mayfair

Today I am reviewing the Santa Clara, Plan 2 model of Stonegate at 98 Mayfair. Parking for guests is off the street in front of the home.  The home is an end unit.  Once up a flight of stairs, the living space is located on the second level.  It is walking distance to Stonegate Elementary School and all of the amenities.

Open House Review: 18 Alondra

Last week, I reviewed 16 Hidalgo. This week, I will review 18 Alondra, a five-bedroom home located just a block away from Hidalgo in Northwood’s Woodside neighborhood. Like the other, this one has been partially updated, but still has some older features as well.

This home has over 450 square feet more than the Hidalgo property and is priced slightly lower per square foot ($433 vs $441). The lot size is smaller by nearly 300 square feet. In terms of location, Hidalgo has the better spot, being near the end of a cul-de-sac, while Alondra is toward the beginning of the street, right as it curves around a corner. The Alondra property is also much closer to Irvine Boulevard and therefore will have some street noise.

Open House Review: 143 Sanctuary #67

Driving into Woodbury and approaching Woodbury Community Park, the property is an end unit and sits nicely across from the baseball fields. Guest parking is located off of Sanctuary, in front of the unit.   The home is accessed from a flight of external stairs with a one car garage below the unit.  There is no internal staircase to access the garage.  Although the home is advertised as a 2 bedroom, this is a one bedroom home with an addition den.
