Today I am reviewing a two level home in Northwood’s Park Paseo Community. The Open House was bustling with people. 10 Christamon East is found on a larger lot and situated on a cul-de-sac street. The home is move-in ready and has a beautifully hardscaped large backyard, but backs to Yale which is a shorter stretch of a 40mph street leading to Irvine Boulevard.

Prices in Northwood have been on the rise. This house has been remodeled with new etched windows, smooth ceilings, new lighting, hardwood flooring, a remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. An addition to the master bathroom was built to create even more storage.
Located just outside of the bend in the street, the front yard is large with space for furniture to sit and enjoy the evening sun. The front door is located up a few steps that have been repaved with stone. Once inside, the entrance has wood flooring which is a step up from the rest of the main level of the home. The wood flooring flows throughout the rest of the first floor. There is an abundance of natural light coming in from the extra-large windows throughout the living and dining rooms. The cathedral ceilings provide an open feeling to the rooms.
The living room and dining room are in one large rectangular space. The dining room window faces out to the backyard. One of the two kitchen entrances is found off of the dining room.
The kitchen is remodeled with granite counters and backsplash, cherry cabinets, a mix of black and stainless steel appliances, a garden window above the sink and a bay window with a seat. A small table fits in front of the bay window, with a ceiling fan mounted above it. The ceiling is partly raised in place the old fluorescent lighting, which is replaced by recessed lighting. There are plenty of cabinets and counter space, with a pantry for additional storage. The kitchen has railing that overlooks the family room which is three steps down.
After walking down the three steps, a wetbar and short hallway with a coat closet, garage entrance and bathroom are located to the left. The family room has a brick fireplace in the middle of the wall that has been painted white. There are two large windows in the corner and a large sliding glass door.
The backyard is nicely landscaped. Outside of the sliding glass door you walk onto a stone hardscaped area. The yard has levels with a large area for patio furniture, a built-in island with sink, fridge and storage up one step to the right. On the left is an in-ground Jacuzzi with another step up to a sitting area with a stacked stone fireplace. In the very back corner, a couple of steps, is a hardscaped sitting area. The palms and bushes provide a tropical feel to the area. It is a large yard and perfect for entertaining. The only downfall is it backs to Yale and it lacks any grassy area for animals or children to play on.
The half bathroom sits next to the garage entrance. It has a long frosted window across the top of the wall. The bathroom is updated with tile floors, a white wainscot wall and a single sink with dark wood cabinetry.
The staircase is dark brown carpet which runs throughout 3 of the 4 bedrooms. At the top of the staircase is one of the two sets of linen cabinets located in the hallway. The cabinets are a nice darker wood.
To the right are double doors leading into the master bedroom. The room is a good size with a two door mirrored closet next to the entrance. Dual windows look out over the backyard, and Yale can be viewed from the windows. The room is equipped with a ceiling fan and a nook for the television. A step-up bathroom is found to the right, directly across from the bed. Up two steps are built-in drawers and to the right is an extra-large walk-in closet. Up two more steps is the master bathroom with dual sinks, a walk-in shower with glass block wall and a separate toilet. The master lacks a privacy door so the noise and light from the bathroom might affect someone who is in the bedroom.
The two secondary bedrooms on the right side of the hallway are similar in size and both have double sliding closet doors. The manner the house is situated next to its two-story neighbor, it appears that one of the bedroom window looks directly into the neighbor’s bedroom window. The second bedroom appears slightly smaller than the first one.
At the end of the hallway is the third secondary bedroom. It has double doors leading in to the room and is currently used an office. Two large corner windows look out to the front of the home. It has a single door walk-in closet.
An updated mirror, vanity with single sink, tile floors, crown molding and updated tub/shower surround looks very nice. It is in great condition.
10 Christamon East is nicely remodeled and if you do not mind backing to Yale, it is in a nice location. The Home Owners Clubhouse, Junior Olympic size pool, tennis courts as well as Santiago Hills Elementary School is just around the corner and ideal for any family. The price is just slightly higher per square foot than some comparable two level homes, but this home also has a larger yard than others in the neighborhood and is turn-key.
