The home enters into a small tile floor area at the base of laminate wood staircase. Once up a flight of stairs, the living space is located on the second level. Unlike newer homes, the entrance area does not connect to the garage, although there is direct garage access to home at the laundry area.
Up the flight of stairs brings you directly into a high vaulted ceiling room with a remodeled fireplace. The space comfortably furnishes a living and dining room. Plantation shutters decorate the original windows.
The kitchen is found through an open doorway. Instantly, the views from the large windows provide a sense of openness. The realtor explained that the grounds across the street were owned and that residential buildings will never be built, leaving the views as a big selling point. The upgraded kitchen includes granite countertops, decorative backsplash, white appliances and recessed lighting. The kitchen is large with space for a casual eating area in front of the sliding glass doors, which leads to a large balcony.
The balcony is large and open, but it sits directly across from the neighbor so there is not much privacy if both residents are sitting out on the balconies.
On the other side of the dining room is a hallway consisting of 3 bedrooms, shared bathroom, linen cabinets and laundry room with the back staircase leading to the single garage. The ceilings are high throughout the rest of the home.
The first bedroom is located off of a corner angle, limiting the size of the room.
The master bedroom is a good size and comes with a private balcony. Vaulted ceilings create a sense of openness. Through an opening is the master bathroom. It appears a privacy door can easily be added to limit noise and light. Two sets of dual mirrored door closets sit across from each other, creating a short hallway leading to the bathroom. Dual sinks, updated mirrors, granite countertops, original cabinetry which was painted white, and remodeled tub/shower with new tile surround and a recessed light furnish the master bathroom.
The last secondary bedroom is a standard size and, like the other bedrooms, has dual mirrored closet doors.
The shared bathroom is remodeled with granite countertops, a new decorative mirror and new tub/shower with updated tile surround. It is in great condition.
At the end of the hallway is the laundry room and a door to staircase leading to the garage. The home has one attached garage and one detached garage.
Overall, this home is in great condition and the layout is nice. The major selling point is the nice view as well as the updates throughout the home. I think some of the reasons the three bedroom home has not sold is because the parking situation was very challenging and I felt very lucky to find a vacant parking spot in the community. I had to walk a little way, but I did not see another vacant spot the way to the home nor when I was driving out. It is not as convenient with the garage entrance separate and inaccessible from the front door entrance. Having two single car garages is not as nice as having a two car garage. Although some condominiums in the area only has a one car garage, it may be another factor as to why the home has not sold for over 100 days.
