The home could use new carpet due to some stains and mis-matched carpet, but otherwise is move-in ready with many upgrades. The ceilings have been scraped, windows are new with plantation shutters, crown molding, new staircase, new internal doors, remodeled kitchen, and remodeled and updated bathrooms. In addition, a whole house fan has been installed, which is a great feature during the summertime. The home feeds into Santiago Hills Elementary School, Sierra Vista Middle School and Northwood High School. The elementary and middle schools are walking distance from the home.
Entering the front door, the dining room and living room are to the right. The living room is a step down and opens up to the dining room. The living room is a nice size with recessed lights and plenty of windows. The dining room is step up from the living room. It can fit a nice size table. The glass French door opens to the side of the home.
Beyond the dining room is the kitchen with a casual eating nook and a step down family room. A set of double French doors, leading to the backyard is located next to the sink in the kitchen and a large sliding glass door is found in the family room.
The kitchen has been remodeled with black granite countertops, wood cabinetry, tile backsplash and stainless steel appliances. Recessed lights have been added to the kitchen area. A small island has been added to the area. A set of narrow cabinets has been added to the side of the oven and acts as an additional storage space.
Just on the other side of the island is a casual eating nook which sits in front of a bay window. A wood railing separates this area from the step down family room.
The original brick fireplace sits along the back wall, next to the sliding glass door. It is a standard size room that can fit furniture in a couple of various ways. Off the back of the family room is the coat closet and short hallway with a powder room, a laundry room and garage entrance.
The bathroom has been updated with a new vanity, flooring and decorative mirror. Having an indoor laundry room is a bonus especially since it is not found in most Northwood older homes. There are cabinets which sit above the side by side laundry machines.
The backyard is a decent size with room for entertaining. It has a grassy area to the side. The patio has a lattice cover and a built-in firepit sits towards the short retaining wall.
The remodeled staircase has new railing and the stairs are carpeted with wood borders. Once upstairs there is a set of linen cabinets sitting between the shared bathroom and secondary bedroom.
Entering through the double doors, the master bedroom is a large room, facing the front of the home. To the left is a large closet with sliding double mirror closet doors. Across from the closet is an opening into the bathroom with double sinks. A separate walk-in shower and toilet sit across from the vanity. The bathroom has been updated with original cabinets that are painted white, new lighting and decorative mirrors. The separate shower has been remodeled with glass doors and new tile surround. Without a privacy door into the sink area, there might be some light and noise that affects another person in the bedroom, however unlike many other open solutions, the entrance to the bathroom sits across from the closet and not across from the bed itself so the light is not shining directly into the sleeping area.
The upstairs shared bathroom also has the original vanity with painted cabinets and the original shower/tub combo with 4×4 white tile surround. However, the lighting is updated and a new decorative mirror updates the space.
All secondary bedrooms face the backyard and are equipped with ceiling fans. Two of the bedrooms are similar in size with a small double sliding closet. The third bedroom is slightly larger with narrow built-in shelves next to the closet.
Across from the third bedroom is an open bonus room It is a great added space if you want another entertainment area, office or playroom.
The home is move-in ready apart from the carpet. It is nicely located down the street from Santiago Hills Elementary school and steps away from the community clubhouse, pool and tennis courts. The bonus room is a great feature, providing lots of extra space. The home is perfect for any family.
