Located in Woodbury East, 48 Calypso is a Santa Rosa Tract, Plan 3 end-unit condominium.  The home is close to a tot lot and community pool. It is slated for Woodbury Elementary and Jeffrey Trails Middle School, which are both located on the other side of Sand Canyon.  A new high school is opening in August 2016.

Upon entrance, you enter into a small area with the garage entry and a carpeted staircase leading up to the living space.  Apart from the kitchen and bathrooms, the entire floor is carpeted.  Vaulted ceilings and multiple windows create a spacious feel to the home.

The kitchen has white cabinetry, black granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.  A peninsula with space for bar seating looks out to the rest of the great room.  There is plenty of storage space with the number of cabinets and the pantry.

Depending on the manner in which the furniture is arranged, there is space for a regular size dining table and a couple of sofas.  I am not a huge fan of carpet in the dining area, but the tan carpet was clean and in excellent condition.

A glass door leads out the balcony, which faces out to the front of the home.  There is space for a couple of chairs.  Unlike some of the balconies in the neighborhood, this balcony feels more private since there is not a set of balconies directly across the street or immediately next door.

The master bedroom is a standard size.  One of the recessed lights looked like wire was hanging out of it, but the overall room looked in clean, good shape.  An open door entry leads into the master bathroom.  It looks like a privacy door could easily be added if desired, to keep the light and noise out of the bedroom while in use.  The bathroom has dual sinks, shower, walk-in closet and separate toilet.  The glass on the shower had hard water stains, but otherwise the bathroom looked like it was in clean condition.

In the hallway is a closet for a stackable washer and dryer.  The shared bathroom and secondary bedroom are located in the same hallway.  At the end of the hallway is a set of linen cabinets.

The shared bathroom has a single sink and large tub/shower combo. The tub looked a bit worn.

The secondary bedroom is a standard size with a closet with dual sliding doors.

Overall, 48 calypso has a slightly higher square footage price.  However, the home is a comfortable 2 bedroom home with a private balcony and the property is walking distance to the elementary school and community amenities.
