Open House Review: 67 Arcata, Irvine

Driving through the 24-hour guarded gates of Northpark, 67 Arcata is a nice detached condominium on a quiet street within the neighborhood. The home has a nice small yard which is large enough for entertaining and for kids or a small pet to play on a small grassy area too. The San Simeon tract is slotted for Tustin Unified Schools.

A few doors down a walkway, with a few homes lined on each side, the entrance to 67 Arcata is found on the left. The front door leads into a hallway with the carpeted den to the left and the hallway to the right leading into the living room and kitchen.  Other than the den, the rest of the first floor has wood laminate flooring.  The home is move-in ready with freshly painted walls and everything in excellent, clean condition.

The den is a standard size and could be used as a playroom, office, sitting room or secondary television room.  It is a definite plus to have the extra room and I like how it is slightly removed from the rest of the living area.

The hallway leading to the great room has the powder room and entrance to the double car garage.  The powder room has a pedestal sink and is in excellent condition.

The great room is a large square room consisting of the living room, dining area, and the back wall lined with the kitchen cabinets and appliances.  Unlike other models, this home does not have an island, but this provides more space for a dining table.  White cabinetry and a mix of white and stainless steel appliances line the back wall.  The counters are 6×6 tiles and backsplash are 4×4 tiles, but is in excellent condition.  With a walk-in pantry, the kitchen has plenty of storage space.

Through the sliding glass door you step into the small tranquil backyard.  There is a built-in bar-b-que on the side with a stone hardscaped area that sports a water fountain and space for a dining set.  The patio is covered.   On the side is a grassy area that wraps around the side of the home.

The family style eating area separates the kitchen from the living room. The living room has space for a couple of couches and has a large nook which could fit furniture and the television.

Up the flight of stairs are three bedrooms. The staircase and all of the bedrooms are carpeted. The master bedroom is a decent size.  Although the master bathroom lacks a privacy door, the configuration helps keep some light out of the bedroom while it is utilized.  With vinyl wood floors, white cabinetry and countertop, and 4×4 tile surround in the shower and around the soaking tub, the bathroom is basic but in excellent, clean condition.  The feature that stands out is the extra large walk-in closet

The shared bathroom is also basic with a single sink, vinyl wood floors and fiberglass tub/shower combo.  Like the other bathrooms, it is in excellent condition.

Both secondary bedrooms have dual sliding closet doors are in similar in size.

The home is in move-in condition.  The three things that make this home more desirable than other condominiums are that it is detached, it has a nice backyard and has the den for extra space.  Northpark is also known for its lovely amenities, summer swimteam and social events.  Although the address in Irvine, the home is slotted for Tustin schools.
